Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Sunrise: Natural Audio Bible application, website, or any related services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Sunrise provides a digital Bible reading and listening experience featuring the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible with natural audio narration, reading tools, bookmarks, highlights, search, and related features. The Service is available as a mobile application and website.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

4. Account and Waitlist

When you join our waitlist or create an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. By providing your email address, you consent to receive communications from us, including product updates, marketing emails, and service-related notices, as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without permission
• Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service's content, design, or audio recordings
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Circumvent any security or access controls

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, interface, audio recordings, original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Sunrise and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The King James Version Bible text is in the public domain. All other elements of the Service — including but not limited to the audio narration, app design, brand assets, and code — are the exclusive property of Sunrise. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any proprietary elements of the Service without our written permission.

7. User Content

Any content you create within the Service (bookmarks, highlights, folder names, notes) remains yours. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your user content.

8. Data Collection and Processing

By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that we collect and process your data as described in our Privacy Policy. This includes collecting usage data, device information, and email addresses for the purposes of operating the Service, improving our products, and sending marketing communications.

9. Availability and Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, apps, or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their respective terms and policies.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SUNRISE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US (IF ANY) IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sunrise and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sunrise regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
