Jeannie

Pastor Byron was one of the founding members of Sunrise Bible Fellowship.  He and his wife Jeannie continue to lead home Bible studies and work behind the scenes to keep the church running smoothly.  Pastor Byron's wisdom, experience and knowledge of God's Word have been instrumental in the development and growth of our body.

Mary, Joey and D'Lorah

Pastor Pat has served as an elder since 2003.  He holds a BA in Christian Professional Studies from Shasta Bible College and has been ordained by the Conservative Baptist Association.  Pastor Pat works full-time as a California Highway Patrol Officer to provide for his family.

Youth Director Chris Hurton

Chris has served as the youth director since 2002 and was joined by his wife Lindsey when they married in 2005.  Chris leads the 7th-12th grade youth group, teaches the Sunday morning high school Christian Education class, counsels the kids one on one, coaches homeschool sports and plans and coordinates activities and events year round.  In addition to youth work, Chris also preaches sermons on a regular basis and provides counseling to adult church members in anger management, alcohol abuse, marital problems, premarital counseling and many other areas.  He has a BA in Biblical Counseling from The Master's College and an MA in Biblical Counseling from Shasta Bible College.  Lindsey is a sign language interpreter for the deaf and uses her skills to provide access to youth meetings for the deaf in our community.  If you are wondering why Chris and Lindsey's profile is the longest, that's because Chris also designs the website and unfortunately, he knows the most about himself.

Pastor Al Barber

Pastor Al is the beloved patriarch of Sunrise Bible Fellowship and has served in a leadership role since the church's beginnings in 1988.  He earned a Master of Divinity Degree in Bible and  has pastored 4 churches in his nearly 40 years of ministry.  Pastor Al is the author of the Basic Bible Study, which he continues to make available free of charge to anyone who is willing to learn, and several inductive Bible study series.
